Meet the makers

Here, we have generations of expertise to draw from. We can work closely with our craftsmen. We don't have to wait months for a carefully made prototype to materialise into a finished piece. Because we make it together, right here at Figgjo. Meet some of our craftswomen and men that makes dreams come true.

Geir, our master model maker, has been making Figgjo porcelain for over 39 years – and his father before him. And mother. He takes the designs and makes them a reality. This guy is a jeanius.

Tone Anita inspects and polishes the bisque after firing, individually checking each piece for flaws before sending it to glazing. She has been working in the factory for 31 years. Rumor has it that she’s only had two days of sick leave in her time here. Now that is sick.

This girl is really on fire! Linda works at the decor kiln where she is stacking and loading the decorated products into the kiln, controlling that everything is good to go before firing. She has been with us for over 32 years.

Perfection in porcelain

Oh! – did we mention Egil? He is in charge of the roller lathe, isostatic press and bisque sorting. He has been working in the factory for over 30 years, making sure everything runs smoothly.

At every stage the porcelain is quality checked by the makers. If any piece comes out of the process and they’re not happy with it, they scrap it and start again. They stand for quality.

Hire amazing people and let them fly.
